HS Missions Trip: Texas 2021

When: June 12, 2021 - June 18, 2021
Where: North Richmond, Texas
HS Ministry and families will make their third trip back to the rural neighborhoods of North Richmond, Texas and partner once again with "Attack Poverty." This team of students and families will explore and experience what it means to be the hands of feet of Jesus, and how to take that back to Pasadena, CA.
What we'll be doing in Texas:

Serving and creating relationships through Attack Poverty in the city of North Richmond, Texas, by:

  • Volunteering at a community VBS (includes coaching basketball tournaments, face painting, leading games, etc)
  • Home repair
  • Cemetery clean up
  • Praying for those in poverty and needs for the community of North Richmond, Texas
  • Exploring what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a new way
  • See more information on Attack Poverty's North Richmond location, "Friends of North Richmond" on their website
How does fundraising work?:
  • Each student has a goal to $700 each, which includes their deposit
  • Majority of fundraising happens through on-campus, sign-up based fundraising as a team. We typically bake goods, provide services, etc.
  • Other fundraising will come from support letters and newsletters that you send out to friends and family.
  • We will help everyone reach their goal! No student or family has ever been on a trip without being fully funded.
